Sampleson has released CollaB3, a free vintage tonewheel organ for Linux, macOS & Windows.

The virtual instrument is the result of a collaboration between Samplson, Librewave, LalalandAudio and Studio427 Audio.

CollaB3 features a detailed reproduction of noises, clicks, leakage, rotary speaker and tonewheel. Chorus and reverb are also included.

There should be an example of it roaring a bit; these clips are nice & lush, but also too polite! It sounds like a very good model overall, so I’ll bet it can. Its quite a lot for free. I checked out their site and I’m taken with their crisp Melodica instrument for a mere $20. They offer some good alternatives.

I have a Casio keyboard with General MIDI and an Acer laptop running Windows 10. Would I be able to get the CollaB3 running?

Very good sound from this CollaB3. Great job creating it!! I would like to get a bit more percussion out of the keystrokes however. When playing with a band full of instruments, it gets a little lost. Is there a way to increase the percussion to make the keys strokes a bit more defined?

Installed Collab3 into 32 and 64 bit folders in cakewalk.. doesn’t see it? Checked vst paths.. nothing?
