New Audio Effect For iOS, FAC Phazer

FAC has released Phazer, a new audio effect for iOS, that’s inspired by classic hardware phaser effects.

Here’s what they have to say about it:

“The design development has been inspired by some pedals as well as built in phaser effects available on hardware synthesizers. This gave birth to the characters Classic and Tirus. All the parameters can be applied on both of them to reach new personal, exciting and outstanding sounds.

The presets Slow Phase Pedal, Moderate Phase Pedal, Jumpy Phase Pedal or also Fleur d’Oranger bring the pedals sound signature within your reach. On the other hand, the preset Tirus Anthem is a good start to explore the phase kind of effect you can get from synthesizer built-in fx.”

Features:

  • Unique sonic character combined with a large amount of control
  • Adjustable LFO; custom waveforms and synchronizable to host tempo
  • External modulation (parameters)
  • Unique VU meter design (Butterfly): levels and lfo indicator
  • Stereo, adjustable phase modulation distance between both channels
  • Includes a variety of presets
  • iOS AuV3 – Universal (iPad/iPhone)

Pricing and Availability

Phazer is available now for $3.99 USD.

  1. It seems to me that in recent years the phase shifter is not talked about very much, and is perhaps the most underrated modulation effect, even though it sits proudly in that chorus/flanger/phaser triumvirate. It provides a fascinating, vowel-like modulation. The ability to make the modulation something less cyclic and mechanical through enhanced control seems very promising in terms of an organic and unpredictable sound.

  2. This is an essential plugin now. I’ve never cared much for Phasers but Phazer is just flat-out incredible. Extremely well made and lovely UI.
