Cool but does this actually work? I have a iKaosilator and there’s lag so can’t see this working. Just my 2 cents lol.
That could just be your devices limitations.
Most android users won’t be willing to pay 50 €
Use Cubasis 3 with an Samsung View 2 Tablet (17.3 inch Full HD screen, Android 8.1) with
IK Multimedia iRig PRO DUO 2 with powered USB C OTG adapter. Audio and Midi work fine with it. The performance is good. Touch events have a small latency (Android specific issue). But Midi via cable works as fast as on IOS.
Wake me up when it’s a mobile port of Cubase.
Android user since 2009 here (HTC Hero), and I don’t believe this can work properly, but don’t give up. 🙂
To be fair to Steinberg to port over full Cubase to a phone is probably a bit of an impossibility. I’d say they have done pretty well do achieve this and let’s face it no one else has tried to port to Android ( Korg Gadget for example ). It will be interesting to see if £50 is too much for Android folk. They might have to come down to £35….we shall see. It is progress in 2020 though!
