  1. The first thing he says is that the “morph” feature makes this synth “unique” – isn’t this the same thing that has been available on Nord synths for years?

    1. Perhaps “unique” is a bit of a stretch but “stand out” would be fair. It’s been done before but it is surprisingly rare. I use it on Sunrizer all the time.

      1. It is indeed 6 voice stereo. Each of the two filters in each voice can be panned and the complete voice can be panned. The oscillators can be assigned to one or both filters. That’s real stereo synthesis in each voice. Great stuff!

      1. yes , but so true
There are enough innovative materials and shapes possibilities around to come up with something less old school
I think ( not objective of course) a large elliptic trackball shape would have been nicer

    1. I own a Minibrute2S and Iove it. Honestly the ‘PolyBrute’ here sounds a lot like the Minibrute2S, except for more voicing. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice synth ….for a whole lot more…it Just doesn’t grab me sonically!!

  2. I am not sure this is a 6 voice stereo synth. With that architecture it would mean this thing has 24 vco’s, and 36 filters. I don’t think it does and I am pretty pissed of it is presented like that.

    1. there would be different ways to claim this is stereo, one would be as you described, which would be amazing but might not be the case, another would be i think like what Dave smith does and it pans the voices in the stereo feild, this is a great effect and sounds awesome imo, the third would be a kind of widening ‘effect’ like what would come from a chorus or the use of a super fast pan or delay as a widening effect which i think would be the least desirable but may very well be the case, i don’t know.

      1. I think Loopop just got confuse that’s all. But arturia didn’t claim that. It’s stereo like the poly-D is polyphonic 🙂
The first option you mentioned is the true stereo. Stereo output can’t mean stereo synthesizer. We need to save this term for the one that really do.
The ProphetX can do just that (sacrificing half of the voices to play)
the Rev2 panning the voices like you mentioned, The old Evolver is also a full stereo.signal path by design.

        xrx, Something wrong about your math 🙂 24x Filters (2 filter x 6voices x 2xchannles )

    2. Same Q as above, I’ll just cut and paste my replay:
It is indeed 6 voice stereo. Each of the two filters in each voice can be panned and the complete voice can be panned. The oscillators can be assigned to one or both filters. That’s real stereo synthesis in each voice.

You can have the timbre varying dynamically through the stereo field. It also does the classic spread of voices in the stereo field. All of this is in the manual (and the sounds!), no need to speculate.

  3. How come beheringer can do 8 voice vco on a prohet clone under 600 euros/dollars and auturia is stuck with 6 voices? Come on puch the envelope if moog, korg and mfb, can do it auturia can do more than 6 without increasing the price – it is freaking 2020 not 1990.

    1. Behringer has no 8 voice analogue synth and no prophet poly clone. Anyway, the PolyBrute isn’t about quantity – this is 6 dual filter quality stereo voices that are very much alive which I’d prefer to,say 12 duller voices. It’s also an original design and well worth the price.
