‘5 Part Invention’ On The New Sequential Prophet 5

Synthesist Chris Stack (experimentalsynth) shared this synth jam, featuring the new Sequential Prophet-5, sequenced via Ableton Live.

Here’s what he has to say about the technical details:

“Exercising the Prophet 5 rev 4 by throwing a lot of notes at it. Doing this with Ableton via USB MIDI. This gave me some hands free for timbral exploration.

The Prophet 5 does the plucky stuff very nicely. “

  1. That sounds almost generative, but more cohesive. Very enjoyable demo moment. What a colorful rhythm bed. It cries out for two contrasting tracks to breathe life into it!

      1. No, I don’t need to prove you anything, I can only tell you what my ears and mindset is telling me. 🙂 If you don’t agree and find it super unique and Prophet-5 characteristic and not re-makeable on other much cheaper synths, well then I feel bad for you 🙂
