ZoneMatrix Turns Kontakt Into ‘A Monstrous Performance Tool’

Developer Hagai Davidoff let us know that he’s released a new tool, ZoneMatrix, that is designed to turn Kontakt into a ‘monstrous performance tool’.

ZoneMatrix is a powerful performance tool for Kontakt that lets you multiple sample libraries simultaneously, by organizing them into powerful performance multi’s. It lest you build multi’s on the fly, so you can perform anything from trios, quartets to fully blown orchestras, all live.

  1. Many workstation keyboards/racks have offered this kind of performance/setup mode since the 90s. In desktop and iOS software, some hosts and apps provide ways to route MIDI via channel, range, velocity to different VI’s.

    I suppose there wasn’t a turn-key way to approach this with Kontakt libraries– without having to go into Kontakt’s unpleasant editor.

    I was going to say that the price seems steep, but given how much time it could save someone, it’s probably not a bad investment for the person who needs it.
