Nembrini Audio has introduced Shimmer Delay Ambient Machine for iOS, Mac & Windows – an audio effect based on the classic ‘shimmer’ effect popularized by Daniel Lanois & Brian Eno in the 80s.
Shimmer Delay Ambient Machine combines reverb, pitch shifting, and feedback to create ambient soundscapes and effects.
The developers say “Shimmer Delay Ambient Machine promotes getting lost in creative production and electronic music facets of the ambient spectrum.”

This sounds fine if you’re looking for your first ambient mainstay effect, but the quality is really high across the board now. If you learn just two or three good multi-effects the way you learn synths, there’s almost nothing you can’t build easily. Layer two different reverbs, even budget models and its like Instant Lanois & Eno.
