Superbooth 2021 Registration Now Open

Organizers of Superbooth, an international synth trade show held in Berlin, have announced that registration for this year’s event, being held Sept 15-18 at Berlin’s FEZ, is now open.

“After a long time it’s happening again in September: Welcome to FEZ Berlin for SUPERBOOTH21, trade fair and festival for electronic musical instruments – this time the motto is Safety First Edition, with a big new outdoor area.”

Note that restrictions will be in place, because of the ongoing Covid pandemic, including:

  • No tickets will be available onsite in 2021. Tickets are only available in advance.
  • Each individual ticket is personalized and valid for the specific event day. Due to the expected limited number of visitors, there will be no 3-day tickets this year.
  • Access to the event will only be granted with one of the following official proofs: A complete and EU-approved Covid-19 vaccination at least 2 weeks before the respective event day; A medical certificate of a recovered Covid-19 infection within the last six months before the respective event day; or An officially recognized negative rapid test taken on the day of the event.
  • The event will not grant access to visitors who have an official medical exemption from wearing a mouth-nose protection.
  • Compliance with the valid hygiene regulations is mandatory for all participants of the event. The instructions of the staff must be followed at all times.
  • An expulsion from the event does not imply any refund of the ticket price.

See the event site for details.

    1. This is true. Schneider has been pushing his trade show way too hard during COVID times that it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It’s a great place to be and will be going when COVID is no longer a issue but this year is not the right time and skipping it one more year doesn’t mean the end of Superbooth either but it could save lives.

    2. I don’t think your view is supported by science.

It’s considered to be relatively safe for people that have been vaccinated to start getting together again, and the Superbooth organizers are following Germany’s safety regulations to keep everybody else safe.

I’m not planning on going this year, simply because there will still be too many pandemic hassles associated with traveling in Europe for it to be enjoyable. But it doesn’t make sense to begrudge others doing it.

  1. “A complete and EU-approved Covid-19 vaccination at least 2 weeks before the respective event day”.& ” An officially recognized negative rapid test taken on the day of the event.” Sorry for those (EU) people (vaccinated) outside the EU.
