Nord Drum Patch Editor Now Available

Developer Momo Müller has introduced third-party MIDI Editors for the Nord Drum drum synthesizers, including one for the Nord Drum 2 and one for the Nord Drum 3P.

With the Nord Drum Editor, you have direct access to all parameters and can save them as a Sound Data File and load them back into the Nord Drum at any time.

In the VST Version, you can also record the controller movements and integrate the Nord Drum Synth into your DAW Project.

  1. Never mist an editor for this, probably because of the display and the endless encoder.
    Nice that it is not that expensive.

    1. I see two advantages: you can now easily automate parameter changes, and this will make it exponentially easier to map to a midi controller for extensive control of more than one parameter at a time.

    2. i agree most machines don’t really need an editors but it’s nice that you can see all the parameters values in one screen, a recall of the sounds per project can be also helpful.

  2. I get the feeling that the pandemic plays a small part in this. I’ve seen a lot of new editors for vintage gear popping up. The coders had the time and people pulled old pieces off the shelf for a dusting, I’d bet. With the insane hardware prices you see on ebay, the next vintage wave seems to be useful access to the guts of your own older, pre-iPad-era synths.

    Its also freaky that I got a good Kawai K1 plug for a shareware donation and Memorymoon’s CS-80 emulation for a mere $50. Its all a lot of power for pocket change. One more thing on the long list of stuff that’s far better than crack.
