Synth Cycle Lets You Take Your Modular For A Ride

Inspired by Dom Whiting and his DJ Bike, synthesist Craig Smith decided to create a Synth Cycle.

The Synth Cycle features a compact modular, made up of a Moog DFAM, Mother-32 & Subharmonicon, power & amplification – so you can tweak and play on wheels.

  1. I want to like this, since i’m a big fan of bikes – but there’s not a ton of glory in distractedly riding down the sidewalk. Maybe change your patch at the red light?

    1. Love his energy. He’s a brilliant and nice guy as well.
I hope at some point he starts selling his own synth designs.
Probably DIY but with the right tutorials that could be a big hit and make all of us smarter. 🙂

  2. the thing is, dom whiting doesn’t get distracted finding the perfect sweet spot on that tiny little moog knob. you can see the guy’s visible discomfort as he looks at that knob for one second too long. idk, maybe it could work with takt and tone, but even then i’d be skeptical. euro def ain’t the right format for this experiment though.
