Roland has announced that 28 of its virtual instruments available via Roland Cloud are now updated with native support for Apple Silicon.
The company notes that, because of the “inherent gains of the Apple architecture”, musicians can now run more instances of their software synths on more affordable devices than ever before.

zencore is interesting
but its basically XV series … year 2020
I’m not wild about cloud-based things in total, but this one is timely for me. I have a couple of these and so far, Zencore has been stable. Every company has a unique sound to offer. Roland milks its own history like anyone else. Sometimes I think there’s too damned much Vintage going on. Then I recall that sometimes, that big Moog thing is just the glue you need.
Some of the drum kits or tweezy old string machines do have that 80s reek, but quite a bit of the XV world remains useful. A dose of modern effects can often bring it up to speed.
This is GREAT NEWS!!! I love all of the Roland cloud stuff but they were CPU hogs, can’t wait to try the update!
I see no mention of the update on the Roland Cloud website.
