Seventh Wave Festival Of Electronic Music Coming November 12-14, 2021

Organizers of The Seventh Wave Festival of Electronic Music have announced plans for the 10th edition, a scheduled for Nov 12-14, 2021 in Birmingham and London.

The Festival once again features an all-day free electronic music event, including talks, demonstrations, interactive sessions, synth manufacturers, a room for attendees to set up and show off their synth gear and free live performances.

The event will also feature performances from electronic/synth-pop legends each evening:

  • On Friday evening, the headliners are Ian Boddy and Nigel Mullaney. Ian Boddy (DiN Record Label Owner) is one of the founding fathers of the electronic music scene in the United Kingdom. Nigel has worked regularly alongside Ian and releases electronic music on the DiN label, home of top artists such as Node, Markus Reuter, Chris Carter and much more.
  • On Saturday evening, the headliner is Fiat Lux. Formed in 1982 and hailing from Wakefield in Yorkshire, England, they pioneered a unique sonic stamp, the influence of which is still felt today. Their pioneering blend was full of lush synthesizer textures, acoustic and electric keyboards, and studio effects – all anchored by Steve Wright’s vocals with multi-instrumentalist David Crickmore providing guitar, bass, and keys.
  • On Sunday, it is the turn of Dramatis, an English synth-pop band, formed in the early 1980s. Chris Payne, Rrussell Bell, Cedric Sharpley, and Denis Haines were all originally members of Gary Numan’s backing band. They formed Dramatis following Numan’s announced retirement in April 1981.

The evening concerts are paid events, while the all-day Festival on Saturday is free. Tickets can be purchased for the individual paid events from Skiddle.

  1. Everyone dies.

Between the ages of 60 and 90 roughly about 3-4 percent of people those ages will die each year. Few of us will live to be 90.

Knowledge of natural mortality rates can be used to con and fool the ignorant. Like people who forgot what we used to call the corona virus before 2020. Check the fine print on a bottle of Lysol.

    Fear controls you.

      1. Have studied those subjects for 30 years as any grownup should know about basic health issues.

Everything I told people that would happen before the lockdowns happened, entirely predictable to anyone with a basic knowledge of virology and epidemiology.

I also am expert in personality disorders . . .

Considering 2020, I should start studying voodoo.

Since I play the theremin it should be simple enough . . .

  2. Great news, really glad to see events like this beginning to open up again after 18 months of lock-downs and a successful vaccination program in the UK.
