Sunday Synth Jam: Synthesist and sound designer Alba Ecstasy shared this Berlin School/space music style synth jam, featuring a collection of modern synths: the Sequential Take 5, Prophet REV2, Toraiz AS 1 & Novation Peak.
Here’s what they shared about the technical details:
“Each one of the synths runs the sequences on their internal clock, with no MIDI connectivity between them or having a master clock. All internal effects, just a bit of reverb on the REV 2 (Eventide Blackhole).”
Yawn. Jean-Michelle Jarre did all that in the 70s and 80s. Derivative and unimpressive lads. You can program a sequencer or 3 – whooptee doo. Can you actually play a keyboard ? Am I being too harsh diddums ??
All fancy gear but no real musical talent. Anyway – have fun fellas, but don’t think you are innovative or original, you’re just not. Sorry, not sorry. 🙂

A bit harsh and unnecessary. Not everyone is trying to be innovative, they just want to make music they’d like to hear. This is a well done piece of the style and this is someone who obviously has an authentic love of the genre.
Many of my favorite electronic musicians can barely play the keyboards, that isn’t what makes their music interesting.
The title promises “Space Music Synth Jam” – and for that it is a nice little piece.Soft pads, ostinato sequnecer patterns 🙂 Maybe check the title first – if you want hard rock who is to blame when you listen to country and find it boring?
