Developer Ales Tsurko has released a free VST plugin, Kotoist, designed for live coding and algorithmic composition.
Kotoist is designed to let you to compose music on-the-fly, using the Koto language. Koto is scripting language, developed by Ian Hobson (ex-Ableton) for creative coding. Kotoist also has a library of patterns, ported from SuperCollider.
“I haven’t found a plugin like this,” notes Tsurko, “so I wrote my own.”
It’s available now as a free download. There are binaries for macOS. Windows is supported, but you need to build it from source. The source code is available at GitHub.

Would be good to see a video of what you can do with this. With something like Orca, there’s quite a bit out there for you to get an idea of it’s capabilities. A similar effort with this would be appreciated.

I’d love to try it out, but if there is a manual it’s not easy to find, and without manual it’s not very usable…
