Steinberg has introduced Cubase 12, a major update that they say adds significant new features and workflow enhancements.

As DAWs go it’s alright.
Not a massive update and they’ve dropped a couple of the native plugins (Loopmash) but the new ones are pretty good. The new Limiter (name escapes me) is useable.
No more USB dongle and licence for 3 devices is welcomed.
Cost me £85 to upgrade which is reasonable.
Could you help is with details of what DAW is better than alright and is good/great?
As with many things it’s subjective as what is great and what is good.
Try before you buy is prudent.
As for listing details….nobody got time for that shizz.
I do think it’s common for musicians/producers to stick with the DAW where they have invested time into learning.
I tried Abelton and Logic Pro but personally prefer the way Steinberg do it and recently their stock plugins have improved which saves me money.
