New Synth For Mac, Ongaku, Lets You Create Cavernous Soundscapes & West Coast Bongo Action

Developer Giorgio Sancristoforo has introduced Ongaku, a software synth for macOS (Windows coming soon), that they say will let you create “new sonic worlds from cavernous soundscapes to vibrant generative pads in the style of Eno’s, to unpredictable noises or super bongo action west coast style.”

Ongaku is described as “a magnificent tool for live improvisation, drones, strange rhythms and extremely flexible for sound design.”

You can use any virtual audio driver to connect Bent? with your DAW, or record the output directly using the built-in ‘tape recorder’.

Pricing and Availability

Ongaku is available now for 19.50€. You can download and try it before you buy.

  1. It’s awesomely fun. Love Giorgio’s creations. Been playing and creating stuff with it all day.
When I had issues installing Bento3 on an older MacBook Air he answered my e-mail and got it working for me.
E-mailed him today about the possibility of actual numerical clock values in Ongaku, and he got back to me within hours. Two thumbs up.

IMHO, he is a brilliantly creative person and very kind as well. Cheers.

  2. al this developers creations are awesome: original and super nice priced. With every new release i quickly look if they did turn into VST’s. When so then i need a bundle offer for the lot…
