Organizers of Velocity – an all-day synth event featuring a trade show, seminars, workshops and performances – have announced that it will be returning to Seattle August 22nd, 2022.
The event will include performances by Richard Devine, Daedelus, Lisa Bella Donna, Bad Snacks & many others.
Schedule:
11 AM – 5 PM:
Trade Show where various modular / hardware synth manufacturers will show off their latest gear and interact with the community.
11 AM – 3 PM:
Educational Seminars where speakers will speak on various subjects relating to electronic music-making and related technology .
4 PM – 2 AM:
Performances from local and visiting artists, with genres varying from house / techno, ambient, noise, industrial, and beat-oriented music.
The trade show is free to attend and all ages are welcomed. The remainder of the event, including seminars, are 21+ and tickets are required. Tickets are $40 adv, $50 at the door. See the event site for details.
I didn’t know the PNW rated a synth event like this. I’m pleasantly surprised.
Seattle has a nice synth shop, Patchwerks, and the electronic music scene fits the region’s vibe.
