  1. Interesting license agreement:

“You must permit the Licensor and his representatives, at all reasonable times and on reasonable advance notice, to inspect and have access to any premises, and to the computer equipment located there, at which the Software or the Documentation is being kept or used, and any records kept pursuant to this Licence, for the purpose of ensuring that you are complying with the terms of this Licence.”

    1. Woah. That’s very very bad. Possible to read the license before installing? I tried downloading it but it’s all stuffed into a single package file.

  2. Is it free with no strings attached? Or do you have to go through hoops and sign up for this or that to get it for “free?”

  3. Note that the Mac versions stop at OS 10.15, so its DOA for M1 users. Too bad, but its a nice offer all the same.

  4. Awesome! Already downloaded, played with, and enjoyed late last night. And as mentioned, heck yeah, to my ears it DOES sound better than a Hydrasynth (which I own and still like quite a bit). Now I won’t have to dig out my Novation KS4 quite as much when I need some “liquidy pads” in a piece. Hats off to Novation for making this available for free…

  5. I was clearing some stuff out of my studio and finally parted ways with my A-Station. I was reluctant to do it, and shed a tear when I boxed it up to ship to its new owner. Two months later and I have a softsynth replacement. I feel better now.

  6. I strongly suggest people very carefully read their highly intrusive, unscrupulous “Privacy” Policy

At the website ‘themarkup dot org’ forward slash ‘blacklight’ it says:

We found this website capturing user keystrokes.
    They go on to say:
Key logging is when a website captures the text that you type into a webpage before you hit the submit button. This technique has been used to identify anonymous web users by matching them to postal addresses and real names. This technique was used by four percent of popular websites when we scanned them in September 2020.

On the site you are inspecting, information entered in the email field was logged.

Blacklight detected a script belonging to the company HubSpot, Inc. doing this on this site.
    However…

There are other reasons for key logging, such as providing autocomplete functionality. Blacklight cannot determine the intent behind the inspected website’s use of this technique.
