Rocket 88 has published a lavish, fully-illustrated book in which family, friends, colleagues, and fans talk about the life, work and legacy of synthesist and rock keyboardist Keith Emerson.
The book includes many previously unseen photos of Keith at home, at work and play from the private Emerson family archives, as well as professional portraits and live performance photographs. Close family and friends share memories and stories from throughout his life, while fellow musicians from the world of prog, rock and classical share stories of Emerson’s talent and dedication, his spirit, generosity and sense of humor.

Saw ELP a handful of times, once from backstage when Journey opened for them, and even went to see 3 with Robert Berry. Read his book when it came out. Got to meet him at the Marillion show HoB in LA. Very kind and friendly, but based on reading his book JMO, I remember thinking there was a weird tone overall to it. Was coming home from a 10 day photo trek across the Western states when I heard the news of his death. No one can understand the depths that depression can affect others, but a sad and tragic ending to such an incredibly rich life IMHO.

Which Emerson stuff would you recommend is his most experimental or use a ton of weird pedals and stuff? He has A TON of stuff and maybe he has other things outside of what WIkipedia mentions? I got the Fanfare for Common Man that use the GX1 and Nutrocker that use a Memory Moog (and other stuff?) Thanks!
