Ahead of Superbooth 2025, scheduled for May 8-10 at the FEZ-Berlin, Eternal Research shared this preview for the Demon Box, an instrument that lets you explore the hidden world of electromagnetic frequencies.
With the Demon Box, you can use any object emitting electromagnetic waves to create unique sounds.
Here’s another demo of the Demon Box:
Pricing and Availability:
Development of the Demon Box was funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The Demon Box is available to pre-order via the campaign for $699.
i am bored by this over the top marketing shtick.
It makes me share the videos. Just to laugh at them, and at the product
I made something similar once (although waaay more simple and limited compared to this) out of an old radio. You can try at home (please be safe, don’t mess with the power supply or any related components)….must be a radio with an “analog” dial/knob for the tuner….then force it down below where it is supposed to go and you can get it to pick up all sorts of stuff, the coolest was a TV that gave off a square wave.
That being said, this is cool and I hope they succeed.
Cool. We’ve moved away from making interesting instruments with intention to laboratory equipment which allows for even more randomness that the million of other gizmos already available. Doesn’t SOMA even offer something similar for 100ish bucks even?
I mean, I like random noise as much as the next person, but I don’t need to spend 700 bucks on it, when I just can buy rymdygare for iPhone and run the world through it.
