PWM has released Mantis v2, a free firmware update for the four-voice hybrid polysynth that adds the original OSCar wavetables.
The PWM Mantis uses dual digital oscillators, which feed into dual analog signal paths, offering an expanded palette of sounds of older analog designs.
The update adds 9 new waveforms, taken from the OSCar synth:
- Triangle
- Saw
- Pulse
- Pulse (Modulated)
- Organ
- Harpsichord
- Strong Lead
- Double Pulse
- High-Density
The update is available now at the PWM site.
I am looking forward to hearing about their new multi-timbral digital synth… supposed to be 16 parts and possibly with a sequencer! 🙂
