Artium Instruments has announced the availability of The Doppler, a synthesizer that they say offers ‘a bold take on FM synthesis’.
The Doppler is an open-source design that offers 8-note polyphony, a 2-operator engine, and knob-for-knob functionality.
With onboard effects and the ability to process external audio, The Doppler can also function as a stereo delay and reverb pedal.

Disconcerting that those frequency knobs have detention. Smooth scrolling through the frequency range sounds ideal. To have the acceptable frequencies dictated by a whim of design is off-putting.
