Stylophone has introduced the Mini Original, a miniature take on its iconic stylus-operated electronic instrument.
Inspired by the original Stylophone, first introduced in 1968, the new model reduces the familiar playing interface to a keychain-sized device with a metal keyboard, attached stylus and built-in speaker.
It includes a vibrato effect, a white LED light and automatic switch-off, with no cables or additional equipment required to start making sounds. Three versions are available: Original, Pink and White.
Features:
- Miniature version of the classic Stylophone, whose original model debuted in 1968.
- Fully playable metal keyboard operated by sliding or tapping the attached stylus.
- Built-in speaker allows the instrument to be played without external amplification.
- White LED light adds a visual element during operation.
- Dedicated vibrato button adds pitch modulation to the sound.
- Simple power and vibrato controls keep operation straightforward.
- Automatic switch-off helps conserve battery life.
- Powered by two LR44 button-cell batteries, which are included.

Pricing & Availability:
The Stylophone Mini Original is listed at £19.95 on the Stylophone website.

LR44 batteries? That’s disappointing, and a great big sign that this item is a disposable toy.
If it was meant to endure (for at least a little while) they should’ve made it USB rechargeable.
E-waste.
