I can’t understand sh#t of what he’s saying, but this japanese dude is one of the best there are making synthesisers demos.
Just press CC for subtitles
Or just learn chinese
And how exactly would learning Chinese help to understand someone who speaks Japanese?
Baby steps
I kinda want one, but damn no sequencer you know… maybe I should learn how to play keys lol 🙁
I think they added a sequencer, but it has a steep learning curve
The Montage (M) / MODX(+) has two sequencers, a track sequencer, which is basically just a multi-track MIDI recorder and a pattern sequencer, where you can build patterns of various lengths by layering recordings of tracks for each sound in a performance. You can then assign these patterns to scenes and trigger them on-the-fly, or you can arrange them into songs (and store them in the track sequencer).
What these models don’t have is a step sequencer. And since editing patterns after recording is rather limited too, you need to be able to actually play the parts you want to record. You can slow down the tempo while recording, though and there is, of course, quantizing.
Patterns can also be turned into “User Arpeggiators”, which are like sequences triggered and (optionally) transposes by the notes you play.
So, actually, all-together, a rather powerful system.
Yes, the lack of a step sequencer/editing is exactly what I was talking about. Also, Roland Fantom has a nice ableton-like clip launcher. Would be cool if Montage M at least got a step sequencer and basic midi editing.
On top of that, imagine having parameter locking per step to really take advantage of all those parameters on a per step basis. Would really open it up to crazier sound design possibilities.
Mmmm, the M is for middle of the road.
Or the Many Things you can do with it.
After you spend a Mountain of Money.
Good, i like
