iZotope has announced the release of Ozone 12, described as “a powerful evolution of its celebrated mastering suite”.
Ozone 12 introduces three new modules, an update to its AI-powered assistant that gives artists more creative input, and a new IRC limiting algorithm for its Maximizer.
Ozone 12 comes in three editions: Elements, Standard, and Advanced, with Advanced including 21 individual plugins. All editions include the AI-powered Master Assistant, which they say is designed to assist artists, without compromising on creative control.
Features:
- Stem EQ: Apply EQ to vocals, drums, bass, and instruments separately within a stereo audio file, eliminating the need for tedious mix edits.
- Bass Control: A machine-learing powered module that refines low-end frequencies, ensuring masters hit hard in any listening environment.
- Unlimiter: Revive overly compressed audio, restoring lost transients and dynamics with the power of machine-learning.
- Custom Master Assistant Flow: The AI-powered Master Assistant now offers a custom flow, allowing for specific module choices, LUFS targets, and dozens of genre modifiers to create a unique mastering chain.
- IRC 5 Maximizer Mode: The fan-favorite Maximizer now includes the IRC 5 limiting algorithm, which delivers outstanding loudness and clarity without the usual tradeoffs like pumping or distortion.
Pricing and Availability:
Ozone 12 is available in three editions: Elements, Standard, and Advanced. Ozone 12 is also available in select iZotope bundles, including Music Production Suite 8.
For new customers, MSRP prices are as follows:
- Ozone 12 Elements: $55 USD
- Ozone 12 Standard: $219 USD
- Ozone 12 Advanced: $499 USD
- Music Production Suite: $799 USD
Upgrade pricing is available for existing owners. More information is available on the iZotope website.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? I have been underwhelmed with Ozone for a while now but always looking for a better mastering process.
A better mastering process? Forget trying to do it yourself with plugins and send your tracks to a reputable mastering house at which a mastering engineer can offer their input on your mixes and do his/her wizardry.
The “makeover” Native Instruments gave all these Izotope plugins makes them look like cheap trash
