Free Behringer PRO VS Patch Editor

Developer Gary White let us know that he’s updated his free online patch editor for Behringer mini synths to include the new Pro VS Mini.

The free Behringer Pro VS Mini patch editor is browser-based, so you can use it directly in a MIDI-capable web browser, like Chrome. It lets you quickly adjust synth settings, configure modulations, tweak effects and more.

Other Behringer synths supported include the Jt4000m, CZ-1, JT mini and UB-1.

Availability:

The Behringer browser-based patch editors are available now. For those not using Chrome, you can also download the software as a standalone desktop app.

  1. Seems like a good idea, But, I downloaded it and got the following message on my Mac : “MIDI Editor” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash. ” I paid a few dollars for this, Not concerned about the payment, but I would like some help to get it to work. The Mac is M2 Silicone, so I downloaded the arm 64 version.

    1. Hey! Thanks for downloading and the donation – I really appreciate it.. Did you manage to get it to work? I posted instructions on itch.io. The problem is I haven’t paid Apple for a developer account, so the Mac’s gatekeeper app flags it. It’s very easy to work around it, just see the instructions I posted. I should probably just pay, but I don’t like giving apple money 🙁 if you really can’t get it to work, then I’ll pay and upload a security approved version… Just let me know

  2. Thanks for putting this together. It’s not clear to me if this editor can send and receive patches to/from the Pro VS Mini. And if so, can it do bulk transfers? Or is it not a librarian but just a continuous controller? (I don’t mean “just” in a negative way… you put a lot of work into that editor and it is much appreciated; I just need a way to do BULK transfers to and from my Chromebook, and SynthTribe will not run on a Chromebook) Thanks.
