Drum Synthesis On A Modular Synth

This is a demo of some nice modular synth drum synthesis.

Patch details below.

via stensgata44:

All sounds programmed on a modular synth (Modcan, MOTM, .Com) no other instruments used. I have tried to make the sounds as authentic as possible. 7 osc, 6 filters, 5 ADSR and amp + + used in most sounds.

The most difficult sound to make is the cymbal, i used 7 osc`s in three different layers (bandpass filtered) for the impact and short/long decay. The difficult thing is the tuning of the oscillators; it takes small tweeks to get it to sound like anything else than a cymbal. But hey, even Roland gave up and sampled cymbals for their 909 🙂
