The new soundtrack is awe… full. It really is third rate and I expected more from DP, it is like some amateur soundtracks project or "how to make a soundtrack", nothing stands out and anybody with a good strings sample set could knock up in 10 minutes. I expect they were made interesting tracks but were forced into making predictable film music with little flair.
Monooke- You do understand that they were probably not given total freedom to do whatever they wanted? They were working for a client who wanted a certain result. Perhaps we can all see how it should have been done when we hear your next film soundtrack?

i agree. why involve daft punk at all if you want a cut and paste score.
HOWEVER, even this single is insanely weak. especially for daft punk. i don't get it. these dudes need to get back to sampling.

Personally, I like the soundtrack. I think some of you are forgetting that that's what it is, a movie soundtrack. It's not meant to be a normal Daft Punk album. Sure, some of the tracks are a bit dull but overall they've done a good job.
