Akai Professional MPK mini Now Available For $99

Akai Professional has announced the immediate availability of the MPK mini portable keyboard controller.

The Akai MPK mini keyboard is designed to be ideal portable MIDI controller.

The dimensions of the Akai MPK mini are  6″ x 13.6″ x 1.2″ – so it’s very portable. But Akai packs a lot of control in to the MPK mini, including 25 velocity-sensitive mini keys, 8 MPC-style pads & 8 assignable knobs. The MPK mini also has a built-in arpeggiator.

MPK mini is also plug-and-play with Mac or PC and requires no software driver installation or wall power for operation. It should also work with the iPad, but this isn’t official.

The MPK mini is available now from musical instrument and professional audio retailers. MPK mini has a U.S. Retail Price of $199.00 and an estimated street price of $99.00.
