Diego Stocco’s Do You Listen To Your Dreams?

Sound designer and composer Diego Stocco sent word of a new video, Do You Listen To Your Dreams?

Like his other videos, it’s a thought exploration of the potential of sound design and synthesis:

Sometimes I dream that I’m flying, not like a bird, more like I’m floating in air.

Few days ago it was very windy outside and for a moment the image of those dreams came to my mind. I always wanted to capture that feeling I experienced in those dreams, and so without too much thinking I grabbed a guitar, a double bass bow and went outside recording.

All the sounds are generated from the trees, the wind, wind chimes and bowed acoustic guitar harmonics, processed with granular synthesis.

I’d suggest listening to this piece with a good set of speakers, possibly with a subwoofer. I hope you’ll like it.
