G-Storm Plugins has released String Concerto II, a new VST plugin and standalone application for Windows.
The String Concerto II is a recreation of the Logan String Melody II vintage string synthesizer. The Logan was known for lush full orchestra, creamy triple-BBD ensemble, “simple and honest” organs, and cheesy accordion preset.
In the demo above, no additional effects were added to the audio. Audio demo presets are, in order:
- Logan Classic
- Logan Wide
- Bass+Viola
- Cello+Bass
The emulation is made possible by synthesis and effects DSP techniques, not samples.
String Concerto II VST is available now as donationware. Recommended donation is $10 USD. A demo is available.
