H.G.Fortune has a holiday gift for Windows users, a free software synth, Fortune Cookie 2012.

Fortune Cookie 2012 is a VA synth (VSTi plugin) for ‘various types of solo and more or less typical polysynth and strange FX sounds’. According to Fortune, it gains special uniqueness from it’s different sync modes and X-Torsion.
