Here’s a Free Music Friday double whammy!
Synthesist and modular synth developer Suit And Tie Guy has shared a couple of covers of the Tangerine Dream classic, Love On A Real Train.
“Both tracks were recorded as one contiguous take in the studio direct to 2 track and no editing was engaged,” he notes. “No processing other than compression was employed in the computer.”
But wait – there’s more!
In this video, S&TG reveals his approach to sequencing Love On A Real Train, using a combination of modern and vintage gear. He warns, “This will bore the ever-living **** out of you, if you aren’t a synth nerd.”
That won’t be a problem around here.
You can also download the Numerology files he mentions in the video (.zip).
love this song but does not do it for me so dry. excellent effort tho.
Solid!
OMG this video just gave me an eargasm. I did not know I was a synth nerd…But this song has been in my life for almost 40 years…and wow.
I included you in a poem I am writing AS I WRITE this. So I’m sort of referencing something as complete that isn’t. But here it is:
