  1. My band Apollo Cobra is based on this synth. You can split the keyboard in 16 splits if u want and I use it for everything live. One synth covers bass lead and pads. Tremendous analog workstation. I have almost mastered this synth after 4+ years working with it. I will never sell it. Never

    1. Thats gotta be the most self indulgent, baloney review i’ve ever read. Of anything. I’ve got no opinion one way or another on the andromeda but i *never* want to see that website again. Thanks hmmm for pointing out a good place on the internet to avoid.

      1. Yeah future music studio reviews are usually just self indulgent. He loves this synth but really didn’t talk about what’s actually great about it. Thing costs a fortune on ebay and a lot of users on vintagesynth.com report it’s not as good as the specs make it sound.

  2. What a strange video. Talk about a synth, but don’t PLAY it. If you LOVE it, show me what you’re doing on it that you love. It’s like telling your wife or girlfriend that she’s beautiful, but never touching her…it doesn’t convey the feeling.

I think I’m still going to sell my Andromeda.

  3. I used to own an Andromeda for 3 years. It was a beast and had such a warm sound. I ended up selling it because I fell in love with Native Instruments Massive and was able to reproduce some of the sounds of the Andromeda. I think software is catching up…

  4. Selling all my gear to buy a house one of these days … trying to decide on keeping one big poly, either the Andromeda, the CODE8 (love sound, not enough knobs!), Matrix 12, or the PolyEvolver Keyboard+Rack (8 voices) …. already sold the SunSyn, Andromeda, Origin Keyboard and the one that hurt most was Waldorf Q+ red. Andromeda still makes me go yes. / no / yes / no …. some amazing sounds, tons of voices, but sometimes it suits my mindset, sometimes I find it a bit wonky is the only way to put it. Still it *can* get closer to a CS80 type sound than just about anything else, and plenty of folks have done it. Interface is high art, but part of its charm, I guess (Axel went nuts on this one!). :-0

    1. I am wishy-washy about the Andromeda, too. I just have so much…it isn’t something that GRABS me like so many others…and it frustrates and embarrasses me that I don’t have the love for it that others clearly do.

  5. I BELIEVE THAT MY EARS ARE THE MOST SOPHISTICATED IN THE WORLD AND I SAY BLA BLA BLA IS BETTER THAN BLA BLA BECAUSE I CAN SUCK MY OWN DICK WHILE RIDING MY BIKE!
