Trogotronic has introdued the m/669 – a new Eurorack synth module that they describe as an adults-only analog obscenity.
Features:
- ALL-Analog Circuit
- 3 VCO’s
- 3 Voltage Controlled Analog Artifact Generators
- 3-Patch Modulator Switch
- Voltage Controlled Thrust Parameter
- 8 CV Inputs
- 7 Vactrol Circuits = Organic CV Response
- Input for Audio Effektor / Modification
- Volume Control
- 4 Lamp Indicator Array
Here’s what they have to say about it:
Analog Audio Artifacts: event-horizons of signal-singularities rendered in hyper-tonal spectra. Primal-purpose of the m/669 Analog Euro Synth-Module. With a presence more sickening than a platter of polonium sushi at a London boob-bar the m/669 is an untamed sonic-smut provocateur in our midst. The new m/669 Module is eager to accept CV in all of 8 input holes—7 which stimulate velvety Vactrols—with a prehistoric grunt.
Here’s the official demo video:
The Trogotronic m/669 Eurorack Module is available for US $325.
Well the audio demo is exactly the kind of modular sounds I don’t like so I guess I’ll steer clear!
Yes, I’ve accidentally made unstable audio circuits too. I usually manage to fix them.
That’s too bad
This sounds alot like all of the old Forrest Mims sound circuits that would always distort and breakdown into uncontrolled crazy.
i love how Vactrol is a synth buzzword sales pitch now.
I think my wife would leave me if i bought one on these!… I’ll have two please 🙂
Stupidest marketing copy since that Metasonix tripe.
From the people who brought you amps that go to eleven…it is a shame they aren’t into subtlety. Turn the artifacts down a bit, tune the oscillators, and it’s not a bad module.
…but I’m already into West Coast noise….
