Composer/inventor Jacob Duringer shared this live performance demo of his Monolithic Two-Dimensional Keyboard.
The Monolithic Two-Dimensional Keyboard is a custom instrument that he’s designed for multi-timbral performance. He says that it lets you perform an entire arrangement of different instruments simultaneously, strictly by manual fingering on the keys.
The Monolithic Two-Dimensional Keyboard is still in the prototype phase and is not in production. For more info, see his site.
I love humans.
they are filled with too much fluid.

thats what she said
I’m not so keen on them myself.
I love the humans, it’s the cream that I’m not fond of.
with a name of salt?
shouldn’t it be 1 x 4 x 9?
Does Push have a layout like this with each row of notes sent to a different channel? Cool idea. Kind of a strange buzzy arpeggio line here combined with these triumphant tones.
that was quite nice! can’t imagine being able to have that kind of control over so many keys.
