Sunday Synth Jam: Synthesist Moot Booxlé shared his face-melting talkbox version of the Michael Jackson track, Rock With You.
All instruments and vocals performed, arranged, and recorded by Moot Booxlé. This song was written by the late, great Rod Temperton.
Great performance!
I got a Rocktron Banshee Talkbox and I still don’t know how to pronounce well like he does, even using Troutman C is C preset on my TX81Z 🙁
Agreed. Talk box isn’t easy to do. I’m impressed with both his diction AND soulful playing.
Don’t know about faces, but once I heard that talkboxes may literally melt your gums with prolonged use : )
Well done!
I saw this when he uploaded it to Youtube. He’s very talented!!
That’s AMAZING! What a great player! All that pitch & mod wheel work is spot on. Hard to distinguish from just using some kind of pitch-quantizing– except that all the embellishments are right in the pocket. T-Pain FX are often pretty random rhythmically.
The background tracks were spot on, even the vocal sounds of the BG’s were 100% like the original.
Moot rocks my world!
This is fantastic and as others have mentioned, getting that level of syllabic diction on a talk box aint easy.
