Synthesist Mike Sisk shared this mod to add control knobs to your Korg Volca, Korg SQ-1 sequencer or a Moog Werkstatt synthesizer.
Sisk got some knobs from Mammoth Electronics, but they are designed for screwing onto larger potentiometer shafts than these devices use. His solution? Some MacGyver-style action, using a drinking straw from McDonald’s!

Pro tip! Sometimes it’s the simplest things that are the most effective. I would have normally just used the set screw and left it wobbly/off-centre, but this is so simple I’ll do it from now on. Even the simple tip of using a spacer.
