Korg Gadget Adds Three New Devices, NKS Support & more

Korg has updated Gadget – its multi-platform virtual studio – adding three new gadgets, support for Native Instruments’ NKS format and more.

Here’s what’s new in Korg Gadget for Mac (v1.5) and Gadget for iOS (v3.5):

  • Lisbon Polyphonic Sci-Fi Synthesizer – A polyphonic synthesizer gadget that produces ‘a thick, glossy, futuristic sound, indispensable for electronic music’.
  • Vancouver Layering Melody Sampler – A simple sampler gadget, which allows you to play preloaded sounds with ease using the keyboard. It comes with 90 unique sounds, including acoustic instruments, synthesizers, voice and sound effects, and you can import your own samples.
  • DeeMax Loudness Maximizer – This gadget brings DOTEC-AUDIO’s loudness maximizer to Gadget.
  • Allihoopa support lets you share your music and collaborate with other users throughout the world.
  • Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) support – Gadget Plug-in Collection now supports Native Instruments’ plugin format NKS.

    1. Android is about 8 years behind in the area of audio apps, and Google isn’t doing what it would need to do to fix that, so the answer is still “No”.

    2. try caustic 3 ,free demo and only 10 bucks to enable save, also 10 for iPad, free for windows and mac
It looks so much like gadget and its older

        1. But it is not like gadget or caustic in the way the GUI is
Plus it cost on ipad and android, but it does go on sale like korg apps

  1. Was so excited to find they added a midi learn mode to the desktop app. Quickly got things set up to start recording with a tap of a foot pedal. So far so good. Grab my guitar, open an instance of Zurich only to discover it won’t work with the two audio recording Gadgets. That is where I really need this functionality as my guitars require both hands. Grrrr.

  2. So great, that they keep developing Korg Gadget.
And I really like the new Sampler “Vancouver”.

My biggest two points on the wishlist are:
    – Clip launching function as in Ableton Live
    – Midi Out

Please support these feature request & this petition, if you like. Thanks!

  3. For me the real news here is the actual price point with the sale they are doing, at the corrent price and if you take into account that the Mac version is the whole thing, turns out the cheaper version is actually the Mac version..
That is really interesting, and it states very clearly the impact that this crossover mac/ios thing is having in both worlds..
IOS instruments are getting more expensive as well as vst/au instruments will eventually be getting cheaper
