Budapest-based Intech Studio shared this sneak preview of Grid, a new system of modular MIDI controllers that they plan to introduce at Superbooth 2018.
They’ve introduced two Grid controller modules:
- B16
- Sharp control switches.
- Action packed modules. Grid control modules are fully functional on their own. User interfaces designed with tactile impressive elements.
- P16
- Smooth rotary knobs.
- Sleek brushed aluminum finish. Pure and perfectly symmetrical. Grid modules are engineered for extensive creative work.
Details are to come.
Aren’t there already quite a few of these stripped down– small format, USB-only, control-surfaces?
This product will live/die with the amt of available modules and price point. If priced very aggressively, this just might work, otherwise… not so much.
14 bit with hi resolution per rotation or go home.
@Bhinton – What you said.
And maybe create a module with 1/4″ TRS inputs (with 14 bit res) for external pots.
if they are affordable and if they have some fun things like an x/y pad or an IR sensor (like the old alesis controllers) I could be really interested but if it is expensive and just has knobs and pads/buttons it isn’t as fun
