At the 2019 NAMM Show, MOK introduced the Waverazor Dual Oscillator Eurorack module.
We talked with MOK’s Taiho Yamada, who gave us an quick overview and demo of the new module.
The new oscillator design debuted in 2017 in MOK’s Waverazor synthesizer. The oscillator lets you cut individual waveforms cycles into slices and then individually modify and modulate the slices. The technique lets you create ‘twisted and aggressive timbres’, and enables new sound generation techniques like Multi-Sync and ‘Mutant AM’.
Pricing and Availability
The Waverazor Dual Oscillator is expected to be available in the timeframe of March-April 2019, priced at US $599. See the MOK site for details.
I don’t have a rack…but ive ears….and i hear something that sounds like a Nitendo gamecomputer from the 90’s…
doody size lol
90´s nitendo gameconsole sound
Nice-sounding stuff. the 1010music interface does offer a lot of modulation possibilities. But I had hoped the waveform on the screen actually corresponds to the modulation changes, instead of just showing the original waveform. Would be a nice way to maximize having a nice big screen as an oscilloscope!
