Cube-Works has released an official Kirby Otamatone – a version of the unique note-shaped instrument themed on the Kirby Nintendo character.
The Otamatone is played by sliding your fingers along the stem to vary the pitch. You can shake the instrument to create a vibrato effect, and squeeze the bulb base to open the mouth and create a wah-wah effect.
Here’s a preview of the Kirby Otamatone via mklachu:
The KIrby Otamatone is available via Amazon and other online retailers.

Im sure all the marketing people out there will be thrilled to read that little play by play of your internal dialog there
Well, you’d have to have kids, and have some ability to have fun, to understand.
Frightening to see such enthusiasm for this from the video
Bought one for my sisters kid already for christmas! 😀
It is actually a nice instrument to learn playing. You need to learn by ear as there aren’t “keys”.
So you cup the ball and play the shaft? I suspect I may have a latent talent for this instrument.
What a waste of our mother earths’ resources. !
