Arturia today introduced the PolyBrute 12, a new instrument that they say is βthe most expressive synthesizer ever,β because it combines a powerful 12-voice synth architecture with their new FullTouch MPE keyboard, their Morphee pad and a ribbon controller.
In his latest loopop video, synth expert Ziv Eliraz offers his review of the Arturia PolyBrute 12, and calls its FullTouch keyboard “a breakthrough for expressive control”.
Is the Arturia PolyBrute 12 really the most expressive synthesizer ever? Check out the video and then share your thoughts in the comments!
ew! That colour…
Looks like a classic Oberheim SEM color. Quite classy in my opinion.
I agree. I like the color but I hope they have options as well.
Looking forward to the FullTouch KeyLab!
Love that colour! π Only a complete dunce wouldn’t?
What a great synth! Kudos!
I was not fond of the OG Polybrute sound, compared to other analog engines I play. When listening to the demo that hasn’t changed. Mind you it sounds very good, just not my cup of tea. But the way that keyboard plays, especially how it interacts with the envelopes, is fantastic. So indeed if Arturia could come up with a MIDI controller based on this keybed, and incorporate a sequencer like Novation did, they might have a wonderful product in their hands. For now, I’ll stick to Osmose and Hydrasynth as expressive keybeds.
Boutique price for mass produced product.
Good move Arturia,
You are right, no one will notice and no one cares.
