The new Stylophone Gen X-2 synthesizer – their latest take on the classic stylus instrument design – was introduced at the 2025 NAMM Show.
Features:
- Two octave keyboard, played using Stylophones classic stylus
- 7 different 3.5 mm jack sockets for control by a DAW or external keyboard, and allowing the Gen X-2 to control other synthesizers
- Envelope with attack, pitch, and decay options
- Low-frequency oscillator with a full range of effects

- Pulse width modulation
- Two additional suboctaves to enrich sound
- Adjustable delay effects
- Multi-function expression strip for combining “wah”, pitch bend, and vibrato effects

What do you mean by ‘still’? The X1 wasn’t, nor any other device they offer…
I think you’re confusing this with the gakken sx-150 (gakken made a bunch of cool educational kits). This is a modern take on the original stylophone. They are definitely similar, I understand the confusion.
