Audiokit Pro has introduced VIRAL Synth T2x, a new virtual analog synth inspired by the Access Virus TI2 synthesizer.
VIRAL Synth T2x works on iPhone, iPad, and mobile AUv3 plug-in for DAWs like GarageBand for iPad.
Here’s what they have to say about it:
The VIRAL Synth T2x isn’t trying to be a Virus TI2, even though it’s clearly inspired by one. It’s something new. Built from scratch with a modern engine, it goes deep. It has tons of power, real flexibility, and that kind of sound design workflow that pulls you in and keeps you experimenting.
VIRAL Synth T2x delivers deep and flexible sound design with a massive 64-voice virtual analog architecture. Whether you’re crafting lush pads, razor-sharp leads, or evolving textures, this synth is ready to push boundaries while still giving you that instant hit of nostalgia.

Pricing and Availability:
VIRAL Synth T2 is available now, with an intro price of $4.99 USD (normally $19.99).
I’m genuinely curious about how folks feel about the similarities, tribute, borrowed elements, and homage to a company and current product.
When B-word does it, it’s gross. But I like AudioKit.
Your instinct’s fine, as Audiokit put at the end of the video- this is a tribute not a clone. They coded a rompler/synth that works quite differently but sounds quite similar, which is impressive.
Cloning can be lazy and obnoxious if the company leans into marketing crap like democratising gear or whatever then pretends to be on the buyer’s side. And has a history of targeting critics.
If the company is totally transparent about what they’re doing, doesn’t engage in online shenanigans and puts the focus on quality first then it’s a pass. That’s what sets B apart from others like Warm & UA (for me at least).
My mistake. It’s not a current synth. I was just confused because the Access site made it look very much like it is still available.
I always buy anything Audiokit make.
Well, I did as well and stopped (have 3 AudioKit apps installed on my iPad) when they announced no macOS support coming (ever)…. 🙁
Well, I guess that’s one way of loosing customers…
Not sure why AudioKit is so reluctant to make their apps MacOs compatible..? 🙁
Nicely done
I’ll pass
I got a virus ti snow ?
