Synthesist Nathan King (zafrosoundz) shared this head-to-head comparison of a classic Future Retro 777 bassline synthesizer and the modern reissue.
The 777 is a monophonic analog synthesizer with a digital sequencer, inspired by the Roland TB-303. It’s been used by The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Nine Inch Nails, Richie Hawtin and many others.
The new Future Retro 777 builds on the the synth engine of the original, but with some updates, especially in its sequencing capabilties.
