Excellent analysis, very interesting take on the tussle between them and the mainstream music media.

Great viewing. I love people breaking down the subliminal messages intended by musicians. This makes it more than music, it makes it art.

Interesting to hear some of the author’s analysis of not following latest tech, manual input of music instead of looping, iterating on material in front of live audiences… and pointing out how rare/original it is. But this was the way all bands did things before the computer era. Play the heck out of your songs in bars, bad gigs, and anywhere people would listen. By the time you got in front of a big audience or anyone important in the record industry, you were either a streamlined hot act or clearly not going to cut it. Now you can get some fame and income by using a few purchased samples and a fancy looping tool, thereby completely bypassing the “paying the dues” phase of developing. And in my opinion, it really shows in the music of most acts.

Wow, this guy really starts reaching at threads! And someone should tell him that if you can see it, it’s not “subliminal”! LOL

It’s interesting but… “this oppisition to US lead war for global domination” is a bullshit line at the end of part 2.
