Here’s what they shared about the technical details:
Tides and Rings make up the two voices. The pad sound is Rings, in the secret “Disastrous peace” mode (Google it), filtered by Ripples with some self-modulation for that grungy distortion sound. The arpeggio is Tides, in “Two bumps” mode (Parasite firmware addition).
The arpeggio notes are produced by a sine wave from PNW going through µScale. The output from µScale is also sampled by Kinks’ S&H section at slower intervals, and that is what determines Rings’ notes.
I’m mixing together the voices: I have both LP2 and BP2 outputs from Ripples available in the mixer, as well as the arp from Tides. And then it all goes through Clouds in the end.
