Developer Jonas Eriksson has introduced Annulus, a free polyphonic resonator and effects engine for Mac & Windows.
At its heart is a faithful implementation of the physical modeling engine behind Mutable Instruments’ Rings — one of the most celebrated modules in the history of Eurorack — paired with a full effects chain and a visual interface.

Annulus is available now as a free download.
thanks for the tip.
I can’t figure out how to download it. Horrible web design.
use your computer. (this should post sometime on monday is my guess).
The big “Free Download” button is too hard to spot?
Or are you using the Tor Browser which shows me an error 404 when I click the button?
Seriously? Front page, there’s a button “free download”.
Sorry but that’s not “horrible web design”, quite the opposite. The problem is on your end, not theirs.
“Horrible web design.” = You have a browser issue. On Chrome, it couldn’t be simpler. There’s a yellow box onscreen for DLs, and I got a PKG file in a matter of seconds. The entire process of checkout+email+installation took less than 60 seconds.
Fun fact, they didn’t strip the symbols from the binary so you can pretty easily peek at the code involved. Naturally there’s the Rings DSP stuff, but also the CloudSeed reverb in there (https://github.com/ValdemarOrn/CloudSeed) which btw gets no mention on the website.
It’s a very nice UI, but I’m getting pretty sick and tired of plug-in developers just regurgitating whatever MIT licensed DSP source code they can get their hands on.
Fun fact.
There’s always someone that spits on a free lunch
republicans have cancelled all the free lunch programs.
