Epiphone Intros E Series Amps

Epiphone ampEpiphone has announced the highly anticipated E Series guitar amplifier line, a follow up to the highly successful Valve Series of amplifiers. E Series amplifiers were first unveiled at the 2005 Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.

“With the E Series, we wanted to create a great sounding line of amplifiers with meaningful, not complicated, features,” said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar. “It all started, by design, with great tone at a great value made for the guitar player. We are making a great amp that’s also a great looking amp. We’re very proud of the results we’re getting very positive reviews and responses from musicians playing them on stage.”

The Epiphone E Series uses proprietary “Tube Tone” circuitry to emulate tube response and warmth in a solid state amplifier to create a lively, warm sounding amplifier that is lightweight and robust. Comprised of three models; the Firefly 30DSP a 30 watt combo with a 10″ speaker and 17 DSP selections, the Triggerman 60DSP, Triggerman 100HDSP (guitar head) and Trigger Cab (4X12 speaker cabinet), the range has something to offer for every level of guitar player. Starting at only $150.00, Epiphone sees the range as a great value for the customer, allowing players to “buy up” in features without sacrificing quality.

The look of the E Series is noticeably high end, boasting details and build quality usually reserved for amplifiers of much higher price. Aesthetic highlights include rich burgundy tolex, 2″ cabinet radiuses with meticulous hand covering, vintage basket-weave grille cloth and a cream colored, heavy gauge steel faceplate. The amplifiers’ cabinets all feature a subtle, offset “caf” cut in the front baffle, accented with piping. Features such as 16-gauge, spot welded steel chassis, durable metal cabinet corners and high quality tolex covering assure the player years of reliability.

All E Series Amplifiers feature 2 Channels (Overdrive and Clean), 16 Selections of DSP plus separate Digital Reverb, and E Series speakers.

Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar said this of the new E Series, “With the E Series, we wanted to create a great sounding line of amplifiers with meaningful, not complicated, features. It all started, by design, with great tone at a great value made for the guitar player. We are making a great amp that’s also a great looking amp. We’re very proud of the results.
